General Information

We all know that travel is extra baseball/softball for those want to play more competitive baseball/softball. We offer travel baseball/softball to all players between the ages of 7 and 19 under the Essex Express name.

A travel team is determined by a "tryout" process, as not everyone who tries out will make the team. When you make the decision to have your child tryout for the travel team, please remember the following important factor:

Travel runs from April 1st to approximately July 30th and your child will be expected to attend each game. We hope that you will plan your vacations accordingly. It is unfair to the other players on the team if some of their better players are unable to attend a game because of vacations. It puts the team at a disadvantage especially for tournament play. If your child will not be able to give 100% of his time to his team, then perhaps you should rethink his trying out as this would give another child, who may not be as talented, the opportunity to make the team.
