General Information
Our program, which we believe to be one of the finest around, is run by a cross-section of some of the Essex area's most dedicated citizens. The prime purpose of this program is to build bodies, minds and character. We also want to instill in these young men and women who participate in our program good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty and courage. Our youth of today will be the leaders of tomorrow.
The youth of today have many negative influences in their lives. Baseball, softball and other organized sports or activities can be a positive influence, especially with parental participation and involvement. Organized sports can teach our youth teamwork, physical activity and fitness. They can gain a sense of self-worth through all of their hard work. Essex Baseball/Softball strives to see that our youth learn lifelong values through their participation in our baseball and softball program.
Our first meeting of 2008 will take place on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at Essex Elementary Activity Room at 8:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend. We will discuss the plans for the 2008 season.
