2010 PICTURE INFORMATION

AQUAFINA PITCH, HIT AND RUN CONTEST

Sunday, April 18^th, will be Picture Day, from noon to 6 p.m. Times will be given to your manager before April 18^th. Each child who gets his picture take will be entitled to a free hot dog and soda. We will also have free snacks at the concession stand. This is our “appreciation” day.

Also on April 18^th, we will again host the Aquafina Pitch, Hit and Run Competition from noon to 6 p.m. for boys and girls between the age of 7 and 14 (age determination is 7/17/2010).

After much controversy, the MLB has decided that this year there will be a separate girl’s softball category all the way to the finals. Previously, the girl’s softball category was only at the local level. Now it will extend to ALL LEVELS.

The players will be able to compete in the contest either before or after the picture taking. The contest itself only takes a few minutes at each of 3 stations (pitching, hitting and running). The winners will be announced on Opening Day, April 25^th and they will be given their ribbons at that time.

The Aquafina Pitch, Hit and Run competition is being sponsored by Major League Baseball (www.mlb.com/phr ). Qualifiers in this competition move on to the Sectional Competition at East Regional baseball park in May. National finalists receive an all-expense paid trip to Anaheim, CA for the 2010 All-Star game. More details can be found on their website www.mlb.com/phr .
