2010 OPENING DAY FLYER

Sunday, April 25^th, will be Opening Day. We will start the day with the Coaches Softball game from 10 am to 11:30 a.m. on Field 1.

ALL TEAMS WILL PLAY GAMES ON OPENING DAY.

Everyone must go to the VFW facility on Riverside Avenue by 12:30 p.m. to form the parade. The parade will start promptly at 1:00 p.m. and will proceed down Wiltshire Drive to the ballfields at Essex Elementary where the teams will be introduced and there will be a ceremony with various speakers.

There will also be a presentation for our Ring of Honor, which is our way of honoring several local volunteers. The winners of the Aquafina Pitch, Hit and Run Competition will be announced. Winners will receive their ribbons.

After the ceremony, the games will start.

There will be a table set up where you can purchase various Essex clothing. There will be additional tables with vendors selling their wares.

The concession stand will be open for your convenience. The Opening Day Raffle drawing will take place at 4 p.m. at the concession stand. We hope that everyone will stick around, mingle with their friends, and have a good time.
